Emily grew up in the Gloucestershire countryside for eighteen years until she flew the nest and made the big move to the great city of London. Family values are very important to her and she truly believes that family are the most important people in life. Emily is admired for her personal approach to shooting and her skills of evoking emotion, sometimes even when emotion isn't seen by others.
Emily’s latest project explores the often inadequate habitats that overlook the hidden beauty of apes in captivity. In addition to apes, her website also includes other captive animals which are enclosed in zoos for our entertainment and “education”. Apes share 98% of the same DNA as us, yet we still ignore their highly evolved emotions and understanding.
